Match report On a sunny afternoon at Windsor Castle a talented YG's side arrived in good time for a 2.00pm start.Put into bat on a greenish wicket,the YG's generally batted abysmally.At 45-7,an absolute rout looked on the cards,but the tail led by 15year old Parker (20) rallied,and a score of 86 all out was achieved.The Royal Household bowling was steady and accurate but most YG batsmen contributed to their own downfall.
The YG's needed wickets early,which unfortunately did not materialise despite some good bowling by Parker 1 for 15 off 11overs.Overall the outcricket by the YG's was exceptionally good,but the Royal Household achieved their target for the loss of only 2 wickets .
On a brighter note all the YG's and their families and supporters had a very enjoyable afternoon at this splendid venue and I am advised the Royal Household look forward to next year's renewal against us.
But please more application from the batsmen next year.
