Match report Once again for the final match of the season the weather was kind to us, the setting was autumnal and the match a last-ball thriller. Richmond brought with them a mixed XI containing 1st, 2nd and 4th team players. YGs fielded 9 as 2 players inexplicably failed to show up.
The cricket was good however. YGs made a challenging 210-4 dec to which Richard Medforth contributed a hard hitting 95; he was well supported by new candidate Phil O'Connell with 34 and some late hitting from Sam Able and Dan White, Colts both. Richmond lost regular wickets during their chase but rallied towards the end requiring 16 off the last over and 2 off the last ball. The skipper was up to the challenge and secured a plumb LBW to leave the visitors one short, 9 down.
