Match report Very low slow pitch due to torrential rain during the past decade or two YG's declared on 167-7. John Skinner threw off his 'Brian the Snail' tag and raced to 14 in only an hour and forty five minutes. After lunch the pitch eased a bit and a reasonable target was set. The Cryptics always looked just behind the pace but also had wickets in hand which enabled some lusty blows at the end of the innings to win by 6 wickets with only a few balls to spare. Three of the seven YG bowlers used were under the age of 14 which bodes well for the future.In fact their combined age is still well short of any other bowler used!
